Description of the safe
The proven and continuously innovated Neutron Star (NS) series of safes, from which we created the Deposit Neutron Star (DNS) series in 2008, has been continuously innovated for nearly 30 years, incorporating a drop-in drawer to quickly store valuables or other deposits in the safe without opening the main door. The traditional design has changed very little, so even today no one on the outside can tell what security class it is. This is also a detail that has its merits.
Certified safe in security class II according to the European standard ČSN EN 1143-2:2014 provides protection of valuables and other items that should be protected against easy theft.
CONSTRUCTION
The double-walled construction of the safe is made of high-quality 3 and 1.5 mm thick profiled steel sheet. The unique composition of materials in the intermediate walls guarantees maximum resistance to the use of various tools. The random position of the connection points also increases the time required to overcome. Thanks to this sandwich composition, our safe is equal to competing safes whose intermediate walls are filled with concrete. At the same time, it dramatically reduces transport costs.
As standard, two anchor holes (14 mm diameter) in the floor secure the safe against tipping and prevent easy theft. They are positioned diagonally in case there is infrastructure running underneath one of them in the floor. The design of the anchor grommets guarantees a minimum pull-out strength of 5 tonnes per opening.
THE DRAWER
The drawer is used to quickly store valuables in the safe without having to open the main door of the safe. When the drawer is closed, the contents fall into a secure area of the safe that can only be accessed by an authorized person.
The drawer is designed for ease of use while maintaining maximum security in the event of an attack.
It may or may not be equipped with various types of locks, which may be of value should the vault operator wish to restrict the operator from placing deposits in the vault. The drawer has a complex system of mechanisms that activates itself should an attack occur—this is secured mechanically, without the need for electrical power.
DOOR
The bi-fold doors are fitted with a certified lock according to the customer’s requirements and at least in class A according to the European standard EN 1300. The lock is locked by a three-way opening mechanism, which is operated by an ergonomic handle made of metal alloy.
When locked, the door is secured by five 20mm diameter, deep chrome plated steel pins locking in three directions. These are fixed so that they can rotate on their axis, giving them freedom to swivel when in contact with the cutting tool. They are secured on the hinge side by a strong, full-height steel profile. Thus, even cutting the hinges does not lead to their opening.
The door is sealed to the body via a foam seal, which softly dampens the sound of the door closing.
The outer hinges allow the vault door to be opened up to an angle of 200 degrees.
If necessary, the opened door can be removed to reduce the weight of the safe, e.g. when moving.
LOCKS
The deeply seated lock is blocked by a three-way release mechanism, which is also equipped with a safety device in case the lock is attacked by bouncing. A thick hardened plate also protects the lock against attack through the outer casing. Further sophisticated mechanisms of the safe provide protection against attack of the lock directly on the opening mechanism.
The base certified key lock with two original keys can be supplemented or replaced with combination locks, either mechanical or electronic. These can have advanced features such as a time delay, the ability to mute the sound or set up a four-eye system (two codes must be entered to unlock the lock). The batteries are hidden in the keypad on the outside of the door for easy replacement.
The opening mechanism is equipped with a safety lock against brute force attack on the handle.
FEATURES
Base shelf made of 1.5 mm thick steel plate in the colour of the safe.
The inner walls are perforated for shelf hooks, which allow the shelves to be adjusted in height.
On the inside of the door there is a manufacturing label with product identification.
The safe can be painted in 4 basic shades: anthracite (RAL 7016), grey-white (RAL 7035), black (RAL 9005) or white (RAL 9003), all with a structural finish.
